Infrastructure Structural Health Monitoring
Vibration signals typically contain information about an object’s dynamic processes, which can reveal its movement and structural state. Using distributed fiber optic sensing technology to capture temperature and vibration/acoustic signals generated by moving objects allows for real-time acquisition of strain and damage information, enabling structural health monitoring. Depending on the type of object being monitored, structural health monitoring can be categorized into infrastructure structural health monitoring and large equipment structural health monitoring.

Oil and Gas Pipeline Health Monitoring
Oil and gas leaks caused by external damage in long-distance pipelines have long been a major concern for petroleum companies. External damage accounts for a significant proportion of oil and gas pipeline accidents in China, such as excavation activities above pipelines, drilling and tapping for oil (gas) theft, and attacks on pipelines.
